The Rule Of Thirds 

Basically, this rule is a compositional guide that divides the image into vertical and horizontal thirds, means three horizontal lines along with three vertical lines, thus forming a grid. According to this rule, if you place the elements you want to photograph on the lines or intersections, the final image will have a greater impact and you will achieve better compositions.

Target is placed in a junction

• The Rule Of Thirds states that when composing your photo, place the centre of interest at a junction of the lines that trisects the image.
• Also, when composing landscape shots, the horizon line should be on one the intersecting lines.

IMPORTENCE

• It helps draw the viewer's eye into the image and places more emphasis on the subject. Ideally, the empty space that's left should be in the direction the subject is looking or heading into. (Though the rule of thirds doesn't work 100 percent of the time).

• At the heart of the rule of thirds is the idea that an image should be organized along certain equidistant points. For the rule of thirds, your image should be divided into nine equal sections created by two equally spaced horizontal lines and two equally-spaced vertical lines.
